CMUG is now on GitHub

CMUG now has a GitHub organization. Members can participate in community projects, collaborate on code, and contribute to group initiatives directly through GitHub. Whether you want to share a script, contribute to a group tool, or just see what others are building, the organization is open to the community. Head over and check it out.

CMUG swag: t-shirts were a hit, stickers are next

Our in-person meetup at Boston Pizza was a great time, and the CMUG t-shirts were a genuine hit. Members loved repping the group in person, and the shirts went quickly. Building on that momentum, we are ordering a batch of CMUG stickers to hand out at upcoming events. Here is a preview of the finished design: the Calgary skyline and mountains in the group's signature crimson and slate. Come to an event and grab one while they last.

Call for talent: help run CMUG and share your expertise

CMUG is growing, and our Meetup community is now more than 1,000 members strong. We are looking for two kinds of volunteers. First, people who want to be involved in running the group: helping organize and market events under the CMUG brand, from planning sessions to spreading the word. Second, speakers who would like to present to an engaged local audience of IT pros, developers, and students. You do not need to be an MVP or a polished presenter; if you have practical experience or a topic you are passionate about, we want to hear from you. Interested? Reach out through our contact form and tell us how you would like to get involved.
